One of our basic human needs is for food. Although many people in Elkhart County continue to live close to the land, and have large gardens, most of us in Elkhart County buy the food we need. Losing a job often puts a family’s food security in jeopardy.

Fortunately, we have resources here to grow much of the food we need. We have good land, good weather, and the skills needed to grow food.

The ECWT Gardening Program provides ways for people in Elkhart County to connect and share resources to create a secure supply of food.
